Wow! Talk about a dark and creepy book. The book follows Detective Inspector Grace Archer as she investigates the murders where the bodies are displayed in cabinets around London for all to see. The book starts quickly and doesn't lose it's pace and the body count isn't exactly small! I felt it was a really well-written story, with some great back stories for the different characters and it kept me very much on the edge of my seat wanting to keep reading on. I actually read the whole book very quickly as I wanted to find out what happened and who the mysterious serial killer was.

I thought it was a brilliant first book for an author and I'd definitely be interested to read any future books David Fennell writes. I'd also be very intrigued if he decided to write future books that follow on from The Art of Death, using the same/ some of the same characters.
