I was instantly intrigued with this book from the first-look, and as a big fan of murder/thrillers, I really wanted to read more. However, whilst I definitely did enjoy 'The Art of Death', I found the plot predictable, and I had an idea who the killer was from early on.

DI Archer is a likeable character, and I liked the inclusion of her history with 'Morrice', and how we eventually learn of the story at the end. I also found the relationship between Archer and her Grandfather really lovely, and this added an additional emotion into the read. The murder-style was definitely novel, and imaginative, and I found myself shocked at several times throughout the book with the gruesome-ness of it all! I definitely wasn't surprised however, at when Archer found herself face-to-face with the killer.

I think the premise of the book - being safe on social media - is incredibly important, and the author definitely does a good job of getting this point across! The front cover of the book is eye-catching, and relates well to the story. Overall, worth a read, but it didn't keep me on my toes.
