I love reading about other people's lives provided the book is either interesting or well written. This is both.
The author has met some influential and fascinating people and I will enjoy reading what she has to say about her interviewees and the trauma of losing her job as a journalist and how she is coping with life now.
I had never heard of Christina Patterson before so her picture on the cover of the book would not have meant anything to me. The cover does not immediately indicate that this book is autobiographical although the title suggests it might be one of those self-help books. An endorsement by Clive James is good enough recommendation for me.
