The cover gave me the impression that “the bad daughter” was walking away but as yet I am unsure which character IS the bad daughter. The huge effect the phone call from Robin’s sister Melanie has on her tells me there’s a lot of history between them, more than was indicated in the first impression. It left me wanting to know more about the characters and the parts they played in Robin’s life to bring her to the point that a journey back to her home town should have such a profound effect on her regardless of the shooting of her father and his family.
