Robin Davis is introduced to us as a therapist in the middle of a panic attack and possibly a mental breakdown. Her difficult family life that she turned her back on years ago has suddenly and dramatically caught up with her in the form of some sudden and tragic news. We learn of her relationships with her older sister and father and how she eventually escaped their toxic presence in her life. We are led to believe that her older sister Melanie is a cruel bully who has tormented Robin her entire life, however, we are only exposed to Robins view point in this first look and therefore we cannot trust her as a reliable narrator. As the two sisters are finally reunited after years apart it is clear there will be a lot of mistrust and drama between them but I was left feeling I couldn’t trust Robin and her views making me wonder which sister the novels title refers to? I’d love to read the rest of this book to find out!
