Joy Fielding isn’t known as the queen of suburban angst without a very good reason as the opening of The Bad Daughter sets up for another addictive and suspenseful dose of family drama. Getting to grips with the family dynamics and undercurrents at play as an independent observer always fascinates me and Robin’s family sounds like a handful to put it politely!

Having read several Joy Fielding novels I just find her writing so wonderfully readable and even though I expect I will want to take sides and love to hate some of the characters she paints, she always delivers a solid story!

Perhaps Robin will need some family therapy after this novel is through!
