My first impression from the early chapters of this historical crime novel is that the author has researched the period well and that in Attica Morgan she has created a quite interesting protagonist. However, rather than being reminded of the novels of CJ Sansom (which I love) I was reminded of Dan Brown's and, as he is definitely not an author who appeals, I think I'll withdraw from the competition to win a copy of this book !
