I was immediately drawn to the front cover of this book, it is stunning and it would make a wonderful addition to my bookshelf. Sadly though for me this is just a genre that I struggle with, it doesn't hold my interest even though the extract does seem to be incredibly well written and in a far more relaxed, easy-flowing way than most historical fiction I have encountered.
