I enjoyed 'The Bastille Spy' by C.S.Quinn. It's one of those books that you can just settle down and enjoy for just the enjoyment and thrill of a good historical read. I love being told a story and this book is a fast paced, adventure read that centres around an engaging female spy.
Attica Morgan is our 'hero' and adventurer who is determined to do her part in achieving justice and working to defend her country. i loved her passion, talent and independence. Her task to rescue her cousin takes her into a dangerous city on the verge of revolution. This is a great backdrop for the adventure and I loved the world building by the author; it has enough historical information to make it feel real.
