I enjoyed ‘The Bastille spy’ I initially liked the front cover though was unsure what to expect and whether I would enjoy the book itself, but I was pleasantly surprised, this book gripped me, and once I started reading I could not stop, this is a real page turner. It is clear a lot of research has gone into writing this book and it shows. I really enjoyed ‘The Basrille spy’ it’s immersive historical fiction, which many other books in this genre do not manage to achieve. I both enjoyed reading this book and afterwards have taken a bit of knowledge away about the French Revolution, I would recommend this book to other readers, overall this was a good read and I would read more by this author.
