The Bastille Spy is a gripping, fast paced historical fiction novel with short chapters which grabbed my attention from the first page until the last one.
The story is well written and well researched, and it's told from different POVs but mainly from the main character Attica Morgan's who is a female spy working for the English and a truly fascinating character.
The novel takes the reader for a ride through the late 18th century Europe, from Russia to Paris and London, from elegant salons to pirate ships. I was amazed by the historical details and couldn't stop reading because I wanted to know what happens next.
The Bastille Spy is the first book in a series and I look forward to the sequel.
