I was not anywhere near prepared to read this book. A mixed race, queer woman who’s a spy in the French Revolution. Okay sis. Drop the tea. The writing is so eloquent and I read this book super quickly. I fell in love with all the characters instantly and they’re just so well written. Quinn writes selective niche pieces for the masses and does an incredible job of it. I didn’t think I’d enjoy this book as much as I did. Pirates, Revolution, queer relationships, wlw queer relationships, that are well written. Was this book written for me to rave about? I have to say absolutely. It’s time for me to go read all the other books by this author right this minute, just as soon as I finish my TBR. No but this book is so good. Go read it, cowards
