Very good historical novel though you don't need to like history to enjoy it. It has good characters like Attica our heroine an English spy she is fearless . She is more than equal to any man and even the very attractive and interesting Jemmy is no match for her. This is a good introduction to the history of the French Revolution it tells you all you need to know to enjoy the novel without pushing the history too much. Loved that Robespierre and Madam Roland real historical figures are brought into the story very effectively. The chapters are very short which helps to move the story along very quickly and the last third of the book are so exciting you won't be able to put it down until you get to the last page. Can't wait for other books in this series which are surely in the pipeline.
