A striking cover and what looks to be a striking story

I enjoyed the writing in this first look and the descriptive talent of the author. The relationship between mother and teenage daughter seems sometimes difficult but loving and I am looking forward to reading how it progresses in the novel. The addition of the lodger, Mr. Bowen and the part he plays seems intriguing as well as the disappearance of a local teenager.

The cover of the novel is vibrant and will definitely draw people to read the blurb and would be one I would pick up.
