At first, looking at the cover and title, I thought that this book wasn't something I'd personally read because I usually gravitate towards swords, assassins and fanasy kingdoms but I also have a soft spot for mystery if it's executed well. I think the cover is gorgeous -being really simple but intricate at the same time, the style reminding me of Chinese New Year or an Indian mehendi/sari design. However, I'm not exactly sure how that relates to the theme of the book as I expected the story to maybe revolve around a South Asian protagoist after seeing that cover. The style of writing the author has chosen to use is also beautiful and the plot is extremely intruiging. I like the way the descriptions create realistic and vivid images in the reader's head, the summer atmosphere so well replicated on paper (or in this case, PDF). The Beauty of Impossible Things is a book I'd love to read alone in a park, cross-legged under the shade of a tree, sipping cheap lemonade between chapters.
