I don't know if it was the style or tone or general story but I just could not get into this first impression. I read about 2/3 and realised I'd started skim reading already and hadn't followed it.
It should be a much more interesting story, with psychic powers, foreseeing of accidents.
I can't say any part of the first impression made an impression on me and I wouldn't be interested in reading more even if the first impression had been made longer.
