It's hard to describe but this book reads like an old novel, giving it a nostalgic feeling. The plot itself is interesting and the characters are intriguing. The one slight issue I have is the word building itself, personally I feel that there's a lot of redundant words and sentences that distract from the main ideas and confuse the reader. I found it hard to stay focused despite being interested in it.
