I was attracted to this book firstly by the cover design. The brooding silhouette house on the hill, and the red background. Then I read that it was a gothic tale and I was in!
The first few chapters draw you in, introducing the main character and her life with her single mother in an old house by the sea. Natasha has a lot of freedom and on her 15th birthday is alone near the woods when she sees blue lights dancing around in the trees and sky. Her friend Lewis also saw them from the promenade.
That is where the First Look ends but I want to know more. There is mention of Natasha having psychic abilities so I'd like to see where this goes in relation to the lights, and also how the lodger Mr Bowen fits in.
Definitely my kind of book.
