This was an intriguing first look. There is an overwhelming sadness in the extract, a feeling almost of despair...but there is something else too, maybe an acceptance of how things are, and of being ok with that.
It doesn't really seem like the kind of book I generally read but it has definitely hooked me in and I'm keen to read more
