I felt there was a good sense of place created in the description of the seaside town but as someone who has no belief in psychic abilities that aspect of the book wouldn't hold any attraction for me. However, I can see readers who liked The Temple House Vanishing finding the combination of mystery and a touch of the supernatural quite appealing. Sadly, that's not me.
