Mysterious first look, emotive language is on point!

This book has a lot of things that I look for, and it reminds me a lot of Atonement or I Capture the Castle. I love a mysterious gothic tale, and I love a coming of age tale. But the most stunning aspects of this first look that stood out for me was the emotive language, used to describe the scene and set up the story. I thought it was brilliantly done!
