The opening of this story is mystical and enthralling in equal measures. The setting and the small details the author includes makes it feel all the more tangible and real. Whatever this supernatural/mystical element is is intriguing and confusing at the same time but in the best way, you really do get swept up in the story without even truly realising which in itself is a skill. The narration style with the flashback esque nature really adds to the storytelling and my attention is very much captured and held.
