Seeing as the first impression started with a quote from A Picture of Dorian Gray, I already knew that I would enjoy it.

The blurb made me believe this to be another modern crime kind of book, but after reading the first impression I am positively surprised and enthralled by the almost-mystical feel that the book has. The style of writing was the perfect amount of descriptive where I could easily imagine everything that the author was describing in my head.

So far, the narrator seems to be very relatable in an unstable-yet-omniscient way. She describes everything very thoroughly and straightforwardly yet some of anecdotes that she shares make you question how trustworthy she is.

I read the first impression super fast and I would love to read the full book when it comes out. I'm hooked on finding out more about the missing teenager and what the main character may have to do with it.

(By the way, one of my favourite quotes so far has been "She hid things away, we both did, it was one of the few activities at which we excelled." )

(Also, the cover is absolutely beautiful)
