Rachel Donohue's book The Beauty of Impossible things is a wonderful slow burn coming of age mystery book. It seems to fit in to multiple categories, but it was really good. I really liked Rachel's writing style it read like poetry with beautiful descriptions of an Irish seaside town. The book follows fifteen year old Natasha who is able to see lights but what the lights are is contested throughout the town. You see Natasha try to work out what is happening and what possible warning the lights represent. It shows the relationship between Natasha and her mum which I found to be really interesting. Also other relationships that Natasha has with her friends, Lewis and Marcus as well as Mr Bowen. Lastly, the book art is beautiful and with the bright orange it really stands out. I really recommend the book to anyone looking for a good read this summer.
