Such an interesting plot! Upon reading the blurb I almost feel already immersed into the withdrawn and secluded lifestyle of 15 year old Natasha. Having lived a protected life with my mum and being of a similar age to Natasha, I feel some sort of personal connection with her, and feel as if Natasha's story could truly be an experience for the both of us - with many undertones that I think I can heavily relate to.

I love the concept of a cloistered life being slowly and painfully torn apart, following the arrival of 'Mr Bowen', a vague and mysterious - yet encapsulating - character; the arrival of this new lodger is essentially an unanticipated obtrusion to the lives of Natasha and her mother, and could potentially represent the inevitable interference of a corrupted society upon the purity of children. This could also be fitting considering that Natasha is on the cusp of childhood and early adulthood.

Overall, I think - merely from reading the blurb - this book has so much potential and symbolic undertones that are prevalent just from the blurb. It seems fantastically written, and I can't wait to read it!
