At a first glance the cover is not something that draws me in, the saying "don't judge a book by its cover" comes to mind though I am a firm believer that the cover plays one of the more important roles in creating a great book as its the first thing you see. I am more drawn to a book when the cover stands out above the rest on the shelf! Despite the purely cosmetic downsides the book itself is beautifully written and captivates you from the first few paragraphs, introducing the main character first really helps set the scene and helps you to form a more personal relationship with the character which in turn allows you to become deeply engrossed in the story! I can see it being a book you can easily lose yourself in for hours. I can't wait to read the rest of it, curled up with a coffee ☕ I hope to write a full review soon and decided if its worthy to add to the library of ghosts
