Initially, I was intrigued by a novel about a girl who lives with her mother alone. I thought this book would highlight the love between a mother and a daughter (especially as she is growing into a young adult/ teenager) in contrast to the new love interest in town. I thought this would be an amazing way to effect the younger generation especially on how to balance both the love for your family and for your significant other. However,when the missing person was brought up I could tell a sense of tragedy would be involved. This interests me even more as I personally believe that it will add more flavour to the novel. The idea that she was asked to help out in the case gives me the impression there will be murder mystery embedded in this novel as well. This novel already shows three of my favourite genres: romance, mystery and tragedy. I can't wait to read!
