Not a lot happens in this book but that isn’t a criticism as it’s so beautifully written.
The book is written from the perspective of Rachel talking to a therapist, after many years, about what happens in a small town and the relationships developed.
It’s a very intriguing and poetically written book that engages the reader throughout.
There is something very different about this book and the atmosphere which makes for a very dramatic read.
Although I wasn’t so keen on the second part of this book, I did really like the fact it was written in first person and the way it was set out.
I am a very big fan of books characters looking back on their life and talking about it when they’re older.
I didn’t particularly buy into the therapist but Rachel more than makes up for that as a character.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and could not be more thankful that I won it!
