I received a copy from readers first.

The Beauty of Impossible Things follows Natasha who has a gift which allows her to predict things. One summer mysterious lights appear in the sky and she knows they are a warning for something. Then a teenager goes missing and Natasha is called on to use her powers to help but her actions that summer will have consequences that will cast a shadow for many years to come.

This book is so atmospheric, the writing is really good and you feel the same dread that Natasha and her community feel. It's told from Natasha's perspective as she reflects on that summer to her therapist and is about accepting the past and moving on. It's very character driven which normally I wouldn't like but the mysteries surrounding some characters and the relationships between others kept me hooked! It was a little slow at some points but Natasha is a fascinating person and her story made me want to keep going!

Overall anyone who likes coming of age, character driven stories will like it!
