This book is about a 15 year old girl, Natasha Rothwell, who witnessed strange lights in the sky near her home, in an area that is otherwise uneventful. The strange lights bring visitors to the town, along with a new lodger, Mr Bowen. Soon after, a local teenager goes missing, and Natasha is asked to help as people believe she is "open to powers from beyond", with some believing she is half witch.
I really tried to get into this book on two different occasions, but just couldn't get into it. I struggled to connect with the characters.
Thinking it was just not my type of book, I leant it to a friend, but she found it difficult to get into too, as did her daughter.
The storyline had lots of potential, however it seemed slow to get going and nothing really seemed to really happen.
I havnt read any other books by this author so not sure if it is typical of her style of writing, but this one just wasn't for me.
