This only took me 2 days to read. I really loved it.
It's a coming of age story about a girl who sees lights in her town and believes that bad things are coming. Whilst this is a large part of the story the main focus is on the relationship the main character, natasha has with her mother and friends as the town changes. It's really beautifully written and I love that it is written almost as a stream of consciousness of Natasha at an older age looking back on the summer but there was still a feeling of innocence.
I do think there were some things I would have liked to see more of. The book doesn't really go into the lights all that much and the relationships don't have much detail it's more like things that stood out to the characters as why her life changed the way it did. I still really loved this book and would recommend picking it up if you get the chance.
