Rachel Donohoe has really crafted such a beautiful and haunting novel. She has such a unique and wonderful style of writing that pervades her work and I really found it prominent in The Beauty of Impossible Things. The book follows the story of a young girl called Natasha who is very different to those around her. The seaside setting creates a huge sense of melancholy and helps really illustrate the plot of the book. I don’t want to give away too much about the plot as the mystery adds to the appeal but I highly recommend. Also I love the cover of the book - it is so gorgeous, the orange motif with the black stencilling is so aesthetic. Additionally, I was so happy to support a local writer as Rachel Donohoe is an Irish writer who actually attended the University City Dublin. Overall this was such an excellent read and I look forward to reading much more from Rachel Donohoe in the future!
