At first sight I was captured by the cover, absolutely beautiful colours, simple but sophisticated. The story sound very interesting. Upon reading the extract, I was hooked and can't wait to read the full story. The main character seems to be a kind and friendly girl and her mother sounds like a character I would definitely like. The storyline captivated me from the blurb and reading the extract hooked me entirely. I can tell that the book is well written, the authors use of imagery added to the sense of mystery - it seems to be a very intriguing book. I can tell this will be one I finish in a very short amount of time. The story sounds like an amazing summer gothic that i would enjoy. I love coming-of-age stories. The novel seems engaging and a fun story to read, i am sure this will be a story to share with friends as family because who doesn't love a bit of gothic!
