I was excited to obtain a book after reading the first few chapters on Readers First and continuing to read more about the story and its beautifully written characters.
The story takes place in Ireland, and Natasha is reminiscing about the events of 30 years ago. Despite residing in a luxurious house, we quickly learn that her mother is young, lovely, and cash poor. Her father abandoned her when she was a small child. Marcus, one of her friends, lost his father at sea, as did Lewis, who lives close.
We've had signs that Natasha may be able to foresee future events, or at the very least know when a tragedy is about to occur, such as the loss of the fishing boat.
The story is so well written that I felt like I was transported to a scorching beach town and was seeing the events unfold as I read. Nevertheless, the story's conclusion left me feeling a little uninspired and underwhelmed.
