I really like the plot and the overarching characteristics of the main character that added to the story, I love mystery plot line and the writing did a good job of showing suspense and leaving the reader being interested in the life of Natasha through how lyrical and poet like it was. The way that the emotions of each character are portrayed, and how each relationship changes by the end of the book really adds to the story. Moreover, i think the setting of the secluded seaside town helps add and shape her story. There's definitely a depth to the writing that allows you to feel Natasha's emotions - her sadness, her bravery, her friendships, having it written from her eyes really compelled me. The fact that the book is quite slow-paced helps add to each character and helps build up the mystery aspects. The fact that the story is written by an older Natasha too really helps cement the coming of age aspect and the reflective nature she has.
