I enjoyed this book, the story was thought provoking whilst still being a fairly easy read. The cover is beautiful and does a good job of making you want to open the book and find out more. The author does a great job of describing the setting and characters which makes it very easy to visualise. The main characters are also very easy to relate to, and I feel have enough of a backstop, which is often lacking. You really feel for the main character who is juggling the move into adulthood whilst also dealing with her ' special abilities'. The story moves along at a good pace and doesn't leave you longing for more, in a sense that the story is half told. The story carries just the right amount of emotion, and whilst tugging at your heart strings doesn't leave you in floods of tears either! Definitely a book I would recommend to others and I would be interested in seeing more work by this author
