An intriguing coming-of-age story that seems to invite mystery and wonder from the very beginning of the book.
The central character seems to have an interesting personality that makes you instantly take a liking to her and her relationship with her mother is beautiful and truly a good family connection. It makes you question your own relationship with your family, and fear for what is to come for her relationship with Elizabeth (the mother).
I am typically not one for romantic fiction but this book surprisingly seems interesting enough to make me want to continue reading despite the deep focus on romantic relationships.
