I first saw this book at the London Book Fair, but I was skeptical, as there is another book out at the same time called 'The Beekeeper', which is also about Aleppo. However, the take on the story so far is different than that book. The language is wonderfully poetic, and that is what has drawn me in. I want to see how she maintains the pace of the narrative in the book.
