The book cover is very eye catching and I think suits the initial description very well.
I was immediately engrossed by the first few pages of this book. The author paints such a vivid picture both of family life and also the countryside around Aleppo. This is also true of the dscription of the art of beekeeping and the way of life that Mustafa lives.
This beautiful imagery is made even more powerful as the much more harrowing side to this book is revealed. I think this will be compelling reading and I look forward to discovering the rest of the book.
