The cover of this book is what first drew me to it - someone who keeps bees and cares for them, clearly. And then the name of the city ‘Aleppo’. I think this is a timely novel, and one that would be a very interesting read - to put a human face and story to all of the refugees coming from Syria is really important, I feel, and it touched about climate change being one of the reasons for the unrest (drought/ not enough water). Even the beginning of this book in the ‘First look’ looks as though it’ll be a very sad story, but I’d still love to read it.
