War Torn
Already this book is a heart breaking rendition of shattered lives, shattered by political unrest and war. Every refugee has a story and this is a snapshot of one families decision to leave Syria and try to find safety in another country, maybe also find a way to continue their way of life.
I'm not entirely sure that this is a good fit for me reading wise, there is just something about the text that I felt kept me at arms length. Maybe, it is just a slow burn of a book and you need at least 50 pages before you can become transported to the author's world.
