This was a lovely book which was beautifully written. The cover of the book is so poignant and really fits the book.
The author has drawn on her own experiences and it makes the story even more real and raw.
It follows the journey of Nuri and Afra across europe as they flee their home in Aleppo after it is no longer safe for them to stay. Nuri was a beekeeper and his wife Afra an artist.
This book touched on my subjects and they were superbly done without going over the top and it all felt very emotional and it made you think what things people have gone through and the pain they have had to endure.
Even thought it is fiction it does have factors of fact and it has a good flow running through the book
