I really and honestly am urging you to read this book. It is so wonderfully written, with fully developed characters, whom I felt I knew like they were my family. I myself felt as though I was experiencing the same hardships as these people and the book has made me think about the difficulties so many families are going through in modern times of war.
I felt myself gasp when I reached the end, and a few tears rolled down my cheeks. This book touches on so many invaluable topics - war, family, loss, mental health, asylum seeking etc. It would do the world so much good if everyone read this book - there is so much to learn from it.
It's so provocative in its language and reading its descriptions of the natural world made me want to run outside and breathe it all in, feeding on its glory.
'The Beekeeper of Aleppo' has a stunning masterpiece of a narrative, and its message must be spread across the book community and beyond!
