From the first paragraph I knew I would love this book. The writing was just so exquisite and really enjoyed all the beautiful proses. But oh..., this is a heartbreaking tale.
The story follows a beekeeper and his wife who lost their life in Syria and on their journey as refugee to England to join his cousin.
So many obstacles and so many heartaches. Reading what they had to go through made me sad, frustrated and even angry.
The story is narrated by the beekeeper himself. His narration goes back and forth between present and past through his flashbacks and dreams. Towards the end of this book, when I found out what was really going on the whole time, my heart just shuttered.
So yes, it was a very sad story. But there was hope to hang onto throughout the book.

This is an important story beautifully told. And yes I highly, highly recommend it!
