The Beekeeper of Aleppo is such a moving and inspired novel. It’s heartfelt, emotional and beautiful and leaves the reader feeling both full with love and empty with despair at the end. I couldn’t recommend it enough—truly.
It wasn’t at the be all and end all of things quite what I was expecting but it was infinitely better for that fact. This is a book you need to delve into without any prior opinion or notions, just a thirst to be devoured by a heartfelt story of love, loss and humanity. Don’t expect a thing and don’t go in looking for anything specific and I promise you will be moved by this marvellous story.
