I loved this book,it is simply told and is very moving and emotional. I have great empathy for refugees who are fleeing from war.It is harrowing and unimaginable to think what they must go through to get to safety. This is the story of a family who keep bees in Syria and need to leave otherwise they will be killed. The story tells their journey to the refugee camps and the awful conditions they have to endure. I liked the style that it was written flashing from Syria to England where they finally end up. I think because of the style and simplicity with which it is told, it would also appeal to younger readers. I think it is good to read a book like this ,it makes you appreciate how fortunate you are and how others suffer . I loved the characters and felt their pain. All in all a good read.
