The beekeeper of Aleppo is a beautiful story following the lives of a family who’s lives have been torn apart due to the war in Syria. This is extremely emotional and poignant and the writing is beautiful. The characters are described very well and I felt for them so much. This topics is extremely sensitive and I feel that this author managed to write about it in a very compassionate and careful way, by stressing the difficulties faced but also how they were coped with. I feel that this is a must read to understand what some people have to go through in life, and the things that they manage to do to find a little bit of happiness and calm. Beautifully written in terms of the scenery, characters and plots, and describes the journey of this family very well. A very emotional read with a beautiful message and heartwarming characters, a four star rating
