If I'd judged this book by it's cover alone, I would never have read it. It really didn't sound my sort of thing. However, the characters - particularly Nessie and Reuben were worth continuing to read the book for. Although I'm not sure if I would ever choose to buy a book by this author, I also wouldn't be against reading it and would probably recommend it to my Mum who is more of a fan of this sort of story.
