As always, Rosie swept me away with another fantastic novel. I honestly felt like I was really in the novel, experiencing every emotion with the main character, Nessie and her family.
Rosie manages to spin an absolutely wonderful tale, with amazing sub-plots too. I wish there was an epilogue with kids or something, or even an extra chapter at the end where they had some cute moments, but I was still happy with how it ended.
Having said all that, although the 'good' characters were a little too good for my liking (especially Nessie, well on her way to sainthood!) the bad characters were fun. I especially liked lecherous Seth Grimshaw, the heartless slum landlord. The dialogue was mediocre at best, though, but I still found it fun to read.
