First impressions, generally I would say this is not my genre of book, having said that after reading it, it has proved me wrong.
This book mainly focuses on the Carson family. As a family they go through many troubling/trying times, with the murder of their mother, financial difficulties to name but a few, during which at all times Nessie does everything to keep her family together, whilst always holding her head held high.
Many things going on between one trouble and another, also happier times. Enjoyable, easy read.
I've not read any books by Rosie Goodwin before, but definitely would do again, just goes to show you should not judge a book purely by its cover, you never can tell how good the story is until you try it, no matter what genre you may preference.
